How do I close my store right now, and reopen it?
Click Close store now on the app's Home page. Your closure starts straight away. To reopen, click Reopen now, or set a reopen date and it ends by itself.
Close now
- Open the app. You land on Home.
- Under Store status, choose an option in While closed: Keep selling, ship when I'm back or Block checkout.
- Optional: set Reopen on (optional) and At. The time starts at 09:00.
- Click Close store now. The banner and notices appear within about a minute.
Reopen
- If you set a reopen date, the store reopens on its own at that time.
- To reopen early, click Reopen now on Home. Checkout reopens straight away and the banner goes within about a minute.
- You can also open the closure in Closures and switch Closed now off, then click Save.
Good to know
- Use this for illness, emergencies or anything unplanned.
- The closure is named "Closed" plus the date and time, for example "Closed Sun 18 Oct, 10:15". It shows on Closures as Instant.
- All places are switched on: banner, product and cart notices, checkout and the order status note. To change them, open the closure in Closures.
- If you don't set a reopen date, we can't show a date. The messages use wording without one, for example "We're on a break. Orders placed now will ship as soon as we're back." or "We're closed for now. You can browse, but checkout is paused until we reopen."
- Without a reopen date, shipping options at checkout aren't renamed, because there's no dispatch date to add.
- If your own text uses
{dispatch_date}or{reopen_date}and there's no date, we use our wording without a date instead. - On Home, Store status shows Open, or the mode with "Closed until" and the date, or "Closed until you reopen".
- Reopen now only shows for closures started with Close store now (or the Instant type). For a dated or weekly closure, Home shows Edit this closure instead. To end one early, change its dates or tick Paused.
