How do I keep some products on sale while I'm closed?

Use Always open in Settings. Products in the collections or with the tags you choose stay open during every closure. Gift cards and digital products are typical examples.

Steps

1. Open the app and go to Settings.
2. Under Always open, click Choose collections and pick collections, for example "Gift cards".
3. To add a tag, type it in Product tag, for example gift-card, and click Add tag. Repeat for each tag.
4. To remove a collection or tag, click the cross on it.
5. Click Save.

What always-open products do

• No product notice.
• No cart notice, if every item in the cart is always open.
• No dispatch date added to shipping names, if the cart only has always-open items.
• Never blocked at checkout. A cart with only always-open items checks out as normal.

Good to know

• These settings apply to all closures. You set them once.
• A product counts as always open if it's in any chosen collection or has any chosen tag.
• Tags aren't case-sensitive.
• In block mode, a cart with both always-open and closed items is still blocked. The message asks the shopper to remove the closed items.
• The store-wide banner still shows, because it's about the whole store.
• The thank-you and order status note still shows for these products in keep-selling mode. Those pages can't tell us which products are in the order.
