How do I add the notice to my product and cart pages?

Add the Holiday notice app block to your product page and cart page in the theme editor. It shows a short line such as "Ships from 5 January" during a closure. It takes up no space when your store is open.

Product page

The quick way: on the app's Home page, under Set up, click Add the notice block. This opens your theme editor with the block already added to your product page. Move it if you like, then click Save.

To do it by hand:

1. In Shopify admin, go to Online Store → Themes → Customize.
2. At the top of the editor, switch to a product template (for example Default product).
3. In the product information section, click Add block.
4. Open the Apps tab and choose Holiday notice.
5. Drag it to just under the buy buttons (Add to cart).
6. Click Save.

Cart page

1. In the same editor, switch to the Cart template.
2. In the cart section, click Add block, open Apps and choose Holiday notice.
3. Click Save.

Good to know

• The notice block needs the app embed switched on. See How do I install the app and turn on the app embed?
• The cart notice only works on the cart page, and only if your theme's cart section accepts app blocks. It doesn't show in a cart drawer.
• In the theme editor, the notice shows sample text so you can see where it sits.
• You can turn Product page notice and Cart notice on or off for each closure, under Where to show it in the closure editor.
• Products you've kept open (for example gift cards) never show the product notice. The cart notice is hidden only if every item in the cart is kept open.
